Women's Hardball Team Crowned Dorset T20 Cup Champions
A huge congratulations to our Women's Hardball team, who triumphed in the first-ever Dorset Women's T20 Cup Final—securing the second leg of their ambitious treble. Facing Swanage, the team delivered a clinical performance with the ball and in the field. Karis Philpott led the bowling attack with an impressive 3-10, well backed up by Rebecca Priddey with 2-13. Superb fielding meant Swanage were held to just 67-8 from their 20 overs.
In response, our opening pair made light work of the chase. Lauren Gavin struck a confident 30, and Amelia Andrew remained unbeaten on 26, combining for a 61-run partnership that paved the way for a comfortable 8-wicket win. With two trophies now secured, the women's softball team now set their sights on completing the treble. The final hurdle? A showdown with Broadstone in the softball final on Sunday 7th September.
