The Club has confirmed the appointment of Jonathon Rake as the new Club Chair following the Extraordinary General Meeting held on Monday 28th September at The Parley Hub, attended by 19 club members.
The appointment comes as Steve Laird stepped down at the end of the season, concluding several years of dedicated service in the role. During his tenure, Steve helped guide the club through significant growth, strengthened community links, and oversaw improvements that leave Parley CC in a strong and stable position for the future. The club extends its sincere thanks to Steve for his hard work, commitment, and leadership.
Also appointed at the EGM was Megan Bird, who takes on the role of Club Secretary, succeeding Mark Randell‑Turner. The club is grateful to Mark for his service, and welcomes Megan as she begins her new position.
With Jonathon and Megan now stepping into their roles, Parley looks forward to building on the strong foundations laid in recent seasons and continuing the club’s positive momentum.
